faith into God’s Best, Joel Osteen

An Interview with Joel Osteen Q: Do you have a hero? A: Of course my biggest hero is Jesus Christ. He should be everyone’s biggest hero. Yet among the people, I have two real heroes. My father John Osteen, was never only the best father all could ever have, but my best friend was. He was a man of great integrity & he taught me how important it is into accept Jesus Christ into every part of my life. Another of my heroes is Billy Graham, who has remained loyal over the years that God called him into do & has so done with the utmost dedication, humility, & integrity. Do Q: In today’s world in conflict, as we encourage people into maintain their faith? A: As believers, we should be sure that Jesus said he would never leave us miss them all. We should have a mindset that God be included in our daily lives, will through good times & difficult times. We should pray into God by making our day (without intermission) communicate, never only when we are in crisis. He takes care of our own lives in the small things. There is no part of our lives that are insignificant into him. Q: What did working behind the scenes at Lakewood during your father’s ministry into provide information on how into preach today? A: Actually, it all started for me when I was born. Our family never missed church Sunday morning, Sunday evening & Wednesday night, week after week. But 17 years have produced work I & my father’s sermons for television. I often joke that I attended one year of college & 17 years of seminary. For those 17 years, I would have my father’s weekly sermons into study & then cut it on a 28-minute TV program while maintaining the message. I think I have heard at least 1500 by my father the news. Q: Your ministry reaches millions each week through television & the Internet. As the technology has changed how people worship today? A: Through telecommunications technology, especially the Internet, Christian programming is available than ever before. Not only people have more choices in Christian programming, but they are able into get so much as it whenever they want it. I think that our use of technology leads into more people spend their time thinking about the things of God. However, I do never see technology replacing worship in the traditional sense – that is worshiped with other believers in the church. Everyone should be of a good Bible-based church. Q: In our busy lives, what is your advice for how we slow things down & find peaceful moments? A: Personally, I take time every morning into spend with God. I have a quiet place in my home or I find a quiet place when I’m on the road, where I pray & asks for guidance from God. I think that is the best way for all into start their day, there’s really set the tone for each day. Q: As a father, what advice would you share with parents struggling with our fast-paced culture? A: Victoria & I decided a long time ago that our family takes precedence over all other the most. I tell people all the time that their families should be their first mission field. Today, it takes much time & energy into earn a living. We must ensure that our families do never get the short end of the stick, & we need into make time for them. And, I’m talking about the “quality time”, no phones, no business calls, no outside distractions, just family.

I was so impressed with this book because of the many practical suggestions and biblical contained therein. I recommend this for everyone! I took notes, as I have a list of specific things I would do immediately to make, read, “better me.” I’m a born again Christian for 47 years of my 54 and still feel like I learned a lot from reading this book.

Also, I was relieved it was not at all boring. A few chapters at the beginning was slow for me, because they do not really to my life, but others might find them to be very useful and helpful. I really enjoyed reading this book in less than a week. I can honestly say there was nothing in it that I agree with.

I have not read many self-help books, but this is GREAT! I was very much of some of the things he encouraged mentioned how

    1) Keep stretching, because my best days yet to come. Your best days are behind you not, she of you. (I’m 54, so this is very encouraging for me)

    2) Develop a Habit of Happiness. Choose a positive spin survival space and be happy even in bad conditions.

    3) Do you saved about who you are and act accordingly – Child of God, the Almighty, talented, creative, have the potential to fulfill your destiny.

    4) Find the work with passion.

    5) relationships are more important than successes. Build others up – Compliment someone every day. Be the head cheerleader and encourager to your spouse.

    6) Do places better than they were before I came.

    7) Celebrate other people’s victories.

    8) Do you have done a running record of the good things that God has for you.

    9) Hold You can use a tender conscience by listening and obeying the little voice that you do or not to do something, you hear the voice comes to think of God.

    10) Plan on a long and healthy life!

    11) Keep a song of praise on purpose in your heart all day.

    12) Smile.

    13) expect Believe – measures put your faith.

Although some of these things and I will also be used to do they knew at once was it will be good reminder. My husband was right when he said Joel uses good illustrations. I’m pretty sure he is a real representation for each main point in this book.

I also liked the very end Joel are precise and clear instructions, as the reader has a personal relationship with can begin God through faith in Jesus Christ. I was glad to see that they contain.

“They have something to offer, nobody else has.” ~ Joel Osteen Joel Osteen

presenting a message of Hope. Through his experience as a pastor he has encountered problems people have been fighting since the beginning of time. No matter what situation you are in, Joel Osteen is a spiritual solution. It is based on biblical references and his own inner wisdom and life experiences.

One of the most important points in “Becoming a Better You,” is the question of how to change messages defeat in life- changing affirmations. Rather than focusing on weaknesses and mistakes you learn to speak in a positive way.

“Becoming a better you in, or whatever you choose to live view.” ~ Joel Osteen

The section on overcoming the hereditary problems with a positive mindset is enlightening and very helpful. Some show very convincing stories of how people have the ability to overcome, only by the disease to think differently about the problem.

Joel Osteen encourages you to stop dwelling on negative thoughts, so You can reach your full potential. To fulfill your destiny you must leave the mistakes of the past behind them, how to achieve in the future by following spiritual wisdom.

Include some of the areas covered in this book: Divorce , child rearing, marriage, addictions, relationships, illness, lifestyle, goals, happiness, habits, coping with criticism, peace, dreams, kindness, success, love of God, blessings, career, health, aging, forgiveness of sin, compassion, the challenges, wonder and self-improvement through a deeper relationship with God. Each section ends with “Action Points”.

“Today I will for something to reach beyond where I am today. I will actively pursue new goals, they think of me and expect to meet them. ” ~ Pg. 376, Action Point 3 is

The most powerful idea in this book is about how you change your life by remembering that you are a child of Almighty God. With God’s help you to overcome your problems and live the life you have imagined.

One of the great pleasures of the book was for me to read again many of my favorite sermons by Pastor Joel Osteen. No matter how often I have a sermon that was here listening to contain the Holy Spirit helped me with new meaning from reading them move into a better you.

Another big advantage was to the structure, see the Pastor Osteen to organize these sermons to one another using. Only by seeing that structure and thinking about it after the end of the book, I better understood the process of sanctification (the way that Christian believers go on more and more like Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit).

If you do not, believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior often that Christianity is simply the acceptance or rejection of Jesus. This is the first step, the step of the redemption of our sins. But our relationship with Jesus builds from there through sanctification.

Who are not Christians often do not know what will be a large impact saved and sanctified. This book is an eloquent testimony of how much Christianity means to you here on Earth long before.

Dies by the many stories (many of them on the basis of its own experiences and those of his family) is in the sermons, Pastor Osteen a great job showing that transforming experience and potential for even more improvements.

The 31 sermons are about seven steps which I have described as organized in the following:

1 Seek continual improvement and larger challenges.
2 Use your faith in a positive view of themselves.
3 Improve your relationships with other men fourth.
Eliminate bad habits and form better.
    5 Take your situation.
6th Listen more carefully and act on God’s directions.
7th Embrace life with Godly passion

Each step concludes with a few action points you to refocus and forward to allow your life. These are good habits.

The book concludes with a call to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior assume.

Some would argue that this book just for Christians. But if you’re not a Christian, and I wonder what the Christian life is like, I think you will find this book interesting and valuable in any case as well.

I was impressed that some people think this is a self-help book that should be filled with new ideas. Pastor Joel Osteen is the timeless words of the Bible drawing. I am glad he is not what God vary addressed to us. Bless

    May God!

I happened to Joel Osteen on TV, when I go through a difficult time in my life. Although it is different from a religious tradition of my own, I was watching him gave me a lift. His gentle take on Christianity radiates faith and hope. He does not claim to be a biblical scholar. My personal impression with its broadcasts saw someone his deep and simple faith, the Thinka about God and God speaks to how he goes about his day, and want the feeling of peace that he has found to share. His sunny personality is very attractive to the people, and he seems to have succeeded on TV about his wildest dreams. Good for him! His church is diverse in make-up. There is no religious bigotry in his message. This book I have read, brings a number of his sermons TV almost word for word. It advises kindness, optimism and joy found in life. I have no emphasis on making money, per se, only to pursue happiness, in a dignified manner. If you follow his advice do not do it, you will do no harm and can give you considerable good.

Last year, I began to hear Joel Osteen podcast on iTunes for FREE and was surprised that almost every message that I have listened to has really inspired my faith and encouraged me in a way no preacher before has done. He feels a little awkward at first, when he was not the most gifted and dynamic speaker, but his messages have unusual power (anointing). I like to listen to John Piper, RC Sproul, Joel Stockstill. . . But Osteen has become my favorite! I look fwd to his sermon every week! I thought it was all hype but I was wrong. I can understand why God has raised him to pastor one of the largest churches in America.

Of course I have the new book and it’s been such an inspiration! The steps look so simple, but I loved every second line emphasizes in this book! Every page is drenched in hope. I myself was to set at the thought of crying, how much potential has placed in me and God as untapped potential is that due to my own disbelief. Joel actually speaks of faith in the dreams and visions that each person keeps hidden deep inside. I hope his principles and praises God in a way I have never imagined could

I see soooo much criticism of Joel on the Internet, but I think the people who really would have been to hear him agree that all this “hate” is not justified! His encouraging and inspiring spirit approach is a welcome change from the monotony of the typical preacher around.
