Cathy Glass writes a powerful visual book which can not but produce a flow of emotions in the reader trigger. The disturbing account of eight years hardly a long suffering Jodie’s filled me with despair, and much more. The incompetence and shortsightedness of social services brought fierce anger. But thanks to her caregiver, Cathy, stability, structure and corrupt above all love for this child, I realized there is always hope leads.
This is a well-written page turner.

If you know someone who does not believe that child abuse is present, this is a great gift for the person.
If you know someone who is a survivor this is a great book if you want to understand the true feelings, read it.

I love children, and when I read this book, I found myself with a strong urge to see everything bad in the world come to those who would hurt a child like Jodie. I always tried to imagine how I read what would happen or how the next book would be out in the end, I reminded myself that this is a true story.
If you are faint-hearted, careful read this heartbreaking story about an 8-year-old girl whose life was destroyed and, if not for the care of a woman who would have condemned to a life of terror forever. I recommend this book, Cathy Glass has a wonderful job in telling this tragic true story.

This book sat on my mom’s shelf for over a year. . . It was given her by her friend from England and she never really intended to read it.

I picked it up and read it in one sitting. . . Beginning at 09:00 clock and finishing at 03.00 clock somewhere. I always said, “Just one more chapter … Just one more page … then I have to go to bed”, but I could not the story of Jodie and Cathy presented.

; This story is reminiscent of a spectrum of emotions. . . of shattering grief for fierce anger. But ultimately it has given me the feeling hopeful. . . and grateful. Thankfully, that there are people in this world that is aware of Jodie in the world.

Jodie a little girl, his first eight years in an abusive nightmare with their biological parents and their scandalous circle of “friends” is output. Once freed from this prison, they went through four foster parents in five months. You see, Jodie * is * damaged. . . damaged by their parents and damaged by the social system that denied her. Her violent personality reflects that. How can someone come from the other side, it has been through and not damaged / fragmented / lost. But her one small stroke of luck was finally in Cathy’s house. She and her children provided amazing Jodie with a safety net that they would never have been granted, out, probably in any other family.

This book is very, very angry . It may even make you cry. But you are also welcome. . . and, as I will be grateful for the amazing Cathy. . . and the love they saved, if a little lost girl.
