Google Internet Summit 2009: The State of the Internet 5 May 2009 & Wireless Sensor Technologies Session. Panelists for this session Craig Partridge, Larry Alder, Sumit Agarwal, Kevin Case, & Deborah Estrin. On 5 & 6 May 2009, in Mountain View, we brought together Googlers & managers from academia & the business world for a two-day summit on the state of the worldwide Internet into discuss. The goal of the Summit was into gather a broad range of knowledge in order into inform Google’s future plans – from product development & marketing reach into the expectations of users & our ability into keep the Internet open yet secure. More than 30 speakers & moderators in discussions around eight themes: networks, wireless & sensor technologies, security, standards, applications, democracy, law, policy & regulation, search & cloud computing & the future. Eric Schmidt, who offered some remarks, said he was optimistic that the challenges we can with the governments’ access into the closed nature of the Internet technology through the development of networks that transparent, scalable & open face into be overcome.
