Manhunting is a delicious romp of a novel, full of sexual tension and too much pride. And while the reader can guess the end of the spine until cracks in this book, it is not at all deterred from the sheer joy of reading. Contains, in writing, that bends towards inexperienced in the first few chapters, but soon found Jennifer Crusie her tongue and takes off like a woman on a mission. Excellent debut by an author worth reading again.

This is one of the best books ever Ms. Crusie’s. She has her standard quirky, fun-loving, humorous characters, known for Jennifer Crusie, but the heroine and hero are such a hot couple and fun that I did not want it to end. Kate and Jake are the total opposite on the surface, but once you get under this layer there are two people, as a big compliment from one another, that you want to push it along faster. And just a lot of Kate with the data from hell, and Jake her a hard time about it, laugh all the way through history. I loved this book and it is written on my shelf bracket, if I need a pick-me-up need.

This was going Jennifer Crusie’s first published romance and it is so sophisticated and smooth and funny that every writer would be green with envy.
all the brand attributes Crusie has even at this early stage – a lot of humor in even more energy – it is a pleasure to read uplifting. It also has a great heroine, Kate, who is too thin, very successful, but also staid. It makes the price Kate has paid off to get where it’s at. And you laugh at the terrible days they managed to know a woman on her mission to ‘Manhunt’ is a husband.
Jake is also a great character. He is warm and lazy and funny. He also needs more direction in his life.
two lovers help to bring the best in each other – and that’s what love is all about, after all. . .
a quirk or two about the minor characters (Jake’s brother, was unexpectedly brutal (emotional, not physcially!) in a scene), so that it is only a 4-star rating, but it shows the talent they Crusie is so obvious, are to go on the word.

This is the third Jennifer Cruise book I’ve read so far and it’s hilarious! I read it in one day ~ ~ despite the chaotic holiday weekend! What turns out to be short-lived Summer Romance ultimately be again a hot romance. It was a book I could not be remedied down.
Kate is a wealthy businesswoman, who after three failed engagements, sets off on a holiday complex in Kentucky, hoping to meet Mr. Right. She presented a list of properties that they wanted to see in their Mr. Perfect ~ ~, only to find that despite the best intentions, it did not work. Hilarious accidents appear to meet the men who chase after her. When she begins to despair that they never find Mr. Perfect, Cupid has other ideas.
Jake is the man that every woman loves to love it ~ ~ beautiful, charming, laid-back and sexy ~ ~ The only thing stopping him was a lack of ambition. He had told the rat race five years, just to enjoy life again. That was before Kate crosses paths with him. And she turns his life upside down, much to his chagrin.
Then the rest is history ~ ~ two people rediscover what love is. Cruise and writes with gentle humor throughout the book ~ ~ and saucy sex scenes engraces the book (though not as revealing as some of her later books, thank God!) ~ ~ It is a sweet book filled with laughter. It is a read that I recommend it if you’re off in the afternoon to hang by the pool or on the beach ~ ~ It’s easy, cheeky and funny. So far, Jennifer Cruise has not disappointed me at.

This great effort early by Jennifer Crusie is a fun, fast read that you will be grinning. It is the story of Kate Svenson, a serious business woman with a string of failed engagements behind her. With some encouragement by a clumsy meddling friend, it goes to a secluded golf resort with a plan to catch a man. As a frustration with her would-be suitors mounts, they found more money and more time with the Inn’s concierge Jake Templeton. The two could not be more different – Kate is married to her high-powered careers while Jake deliberately enjoy everything behind, life on the lake. You will laugh out loud when Kate dispatches its various suitors and Jake teaches them the joys of fishing.
