This series of workbooks has never disappointed me, in my practice with youth in a day treatment center. The young people relate to them well and I am beginning to use it more than my current resources. I would buy one of them in the future.

I use this workbook with my 13 years old, together with some professional counseling to help him at bedtime anxiety and panic attacks. It is a simple format to follow. Very short stories, the beginning of each lesson, so for those children who do not want another “homework” assignment they do not work really hard. It is a great resource for helping them to look within themselves for answers and perhaps look at their thoughts and actions differently. We have only been using it about 3 weeks and he’s still a little resistant to changing his thought patterns in the night, but we are working on it from day to day. I am very confident that he will grow through this in the coming weeks / months and embrace the many opportunities that control his fears. Definitely for parents who have tried to help her child, the recommended but with much resistance.

I bought this book with a teen girl support group I am currently using the leading. I found it with useful ideas, questions, activities, ideas, handouts are packed, and much more. It is a great resource for a school or mental health professional have on the shelf and refer to or make copies to speak by with teens. This book seems best in an environment in which this can be talked through, since only be filled out personally opposed used. It includes a fairly wide range of issues, but is very simple.
Overall, I think it is a great resource!
