IR is cheaper. If you make millions of devices, a few dollars cheaper, makes a big difference. Lower performance than RF is acceptable to customers, so OK.

Because infrared work, at small distance, thats why it is used and 2 what radio wave works by great distance, that could cause side effects

I have often wondered the same thing. I suspect it is because IR’s all there on the same wavelength through it a great chance of interference with RF remote controls werden.Es would much easier to use if even if they do not have sight of the line-of-and you want you can use your DVD, etc in a cupboard.
